This book, “Star Daughter” by Shveta Thakrar, was The Bookish Box’s choice for August. As announced, the book came with a signed bookplate and gorgeous foiling on the book that matches the dust jacket.

We're excited to present our unboxing of the August 2020 box from Magical Reads Crate. Tragically, our July book box was lost in the post, which is why you haven't seen it from us yet. We have, however, received the August crate, and with it a copy of "Star Daughter" by Shveta Thakrar.
This was my first month subscribing to the Fantasy Monthly Book Box and I was really excited to see what was in store. If you're on a budget, this is one of the more affordable book boxes out there. Nonetheless, I looked forward to the art featured in this box, and the exclusive button pin too.
For July’s book of the month, we received "Girl, Serpent, Thorn" by Melissa Bashardoust! The book came with exclusive foiling on the cover and a beautiful dust jacket created by @alicemariapower.
