I’ll admit that I didn’t know what I was getting into when I started it. This book is hard-hitting but such a necessary story. I ended up having mixed feelings about it for a few reasons but overall it was a good story. Proceed with caution because this book might be triggering for some.
I wanted to do a reread before “ A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire” came out however that didn’t happen as planned but I did finally get my reread in. This story was so good the first time around and wanted to experience both books back to back.
This story gets me out of a reading slump every time. Since I love the story so much, I wanted to add it to our blog so I can share my love of this novel with everyone.
When I first saw Raven as a kid watching Teen Titans on Cartoon Network I fell in love with everything about her. Once I saw this book was coming out I had have. The art was so pretty and it was about Raven! I'm so glad I picked it up
We both absolutely loved this book and had a lot of the same thoughts. It was a fast paced read and really easy to fit into our reading schedule. We gave “Daughter of the Pirate King” a whopping 4.88 Tree Stars!
This book, “Star Daughter” by Shveta Thakrar, was The Bookish Box’s choice for August. As announced, the book came with a signed bookplate and gorgeous foiling on the book that matches the dust jacket.
We really enjoy this subscription and we was so happy to share the second package with you all! This month we received "Set Fire to the Gods" by Sarah Raasch (@sarah_raasch on Instagram) and Kristen Simmons (@kris10writes on Instagram).
We're excited to present our unboxing of the August 2020 box from Magical Reads Crate. Tragically, our July book box was lost in the post, which is why you haven't seen it from us yet. We have, however, received the August crate, and with it a copy of "Star Daughter" by Shveta Thakrar.
This was my first month subscribing to the Fantasy Monthly Book Box and I was really excited to see what was in store. If you're on a budget, this is one of the more affordable book boxes out there. Nonetheless, I looked forward to the art featured in this box, and the exclusive button pin too.
